Reliability Analysis & Engineering

Risknowlogy offers a broad range of reliability services for products and systems. In todays world companies cannot afford to build systems that do not meet the expectations of their customers in terms of performance. On one hand customers do not want to pay for products that fail too early, but on the other hand developers do not want to make products that are over dimensioned and are there for too costly. Reliability is the right discipline to address these issues.

Risknowlogy offers the following reliability services to help you analyze and engineer your products and systems:

  • Functional analysis
  • Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Failure modes, effects and diagnostics analysis (FMEDA)
  • Fault tree analysis (FTA)
  • Markov analysis
  • Monte Carlo analysis
  • Reliability data analysis and management
  • Uncertainty analysis
  • Sensitivity analysis

Spurious Trip Level™

A spurious trip level(tm) is an independent review by Risknowlogy of the probability of fail safe of a safety product, loop or system. At Risknowlogy we understand that end-users care as much about safety availability as they do about process availability. The spurious trip level(tm) is an excellent service for product suppliers and end-users to demonstrate that their safety products, loops and systems achieve a low enough spurious trip rate.

Functional Safety Data Sheet®

A functional safety data sheet (FSDS) is a certificate expressing an independent review by Risknowlogy about the functional safety properties of your product according to standards like IEC 61508, 61511, or 62061. An FSDS is an excellent independent verification service for suppliers to demonstrate to end-user that their product is compliant with the applicable standards.

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is an hazard analysis method that helps you identify and resolve potential problems in any lifecycle phase of products and processes. The structured approach of an FMEA makes it an easy to use methodology and valuable tool. It is applied in the automotive, consumer electronic, aerospace & defense, and general manufacturing industries. Variations of FMEA are FMECA, FMECrA, FMEDA, and more.
