Global Participates in Demonstration of Foundation� fieldbus protocol for SIF applications.

Zug, Switzerland (2008-05-20) -- Risknowlogy, the global experts in functional safety, and a pioneer in the development and use of Foundation for Safety Instrumented Functions continues its commitment to support safe communication with its participation in the development of the F-SIF specification and protocol.

As part of this effort, Risknowlogy joined a demonstration project to show the benefits of Foundation for Safety Instrumented Functions at multiple sites end-user sites around the world. Demonstration of F-SIF technology will be conducted at Shell Global Solutions, Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Saudi Aramco, Dharan, Saudi Arabia; BP, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and Chevron, Houston, Texas, USA. The field demonstration are intended to promote adoption of F-SIF technology in the process industries. The project also includes development of SIF best practices and guidelines, as well as training and interoperability test tools for automation equipment manufacturers and end-users.

ICS Triplex delivers its first UK built Turbine and Compression Control System.

Maldon, UK � May 2008, ICS Triplex has delivered its first UK built Turbine and Compression Control System to CNR International (UK) Limited (CNRI). The Trusted� T6300 system, built at the headquarters of ICS Triplex in Maldon, was completed in March 2008 and will be installed onto CNRI�s Murchison platform in the North Sea during 2009. Once installed, it will monitor and control a gas-lift process which has been introduced to help increase oil production in the Murchison field.
