Triconex Introduces New Turbomachinery Control System
Triconex, an operating unit of Invensys plc, today announced the introduction of the Triconex™ 1000, a new, simplex control system that is scalable for small and large turbomachinery applications.
The Triconex 1000 has broad applications for controlling steam and gas turbines, compressors, generators and turbomachinery auxiliaries. The control system was designed for utility plant operators that require a scalable solution for load sharing and shedding, grid management, voltage regulation and peaking turbine generator control functions.

The Triconex 1000 also has widespread application for other industries, such as petroleum refining, chemicals manufacturing, transmission pipelines and pulp and paper processing.

The Triconex 1000 offers powerful features such as OPC/Ethernet and Modbus communications, an IEC 1131 programming tool, fast application program scan times (as low as 10 milliseconds), extensive turbomachinery control function libraries and flexible, field-configurable I/O points.
