Triconex Earns Top Honors From Control Magazine Readers For Eighth Consecutive Year

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 24, 2005 -- Triconex, a unit of Invensys Process Systems (IPS), today announced that for the eighth consecutive year it has been recognized by the readers of Control magazine (January issue) as the best manufacturer of safety and emergency shutdown systems for the process control and automation industry. In addition to ranking first in the 2005 “Readers’ Choice Awards,” the company was also recognized by the publication’s readers as a vendor offering exceptional customer service.

“Having been recognized eight years in a row by actual users throughout the industry proves Triconex’s focus is on track and that we are effectively meeting the full spectrum of our customers’ requirements both in terms of technology innovations and customer service.”

Triconex was recognized as the best manufacturer in its category, earning 22 percent of the vote, with the second place winner earning 11 percent of the vote.
In addition to earning a Readers’ Choice honor, Control magazine respondents ranked Triconex as an exceptional service provider, giving the company an overall score of 4.1 out of a possible 5.

The 13th annual Readers’ Choice award has expanded its coverage from past years and now surveys more than 24,000 selected subscribers in 71 industrial automation categories. The January issue of Control magazine points out that its awards are presented to vendors that have distinguished themselves as providers of the best technologies and customer service according to a survey of the magazine’s readership. Further, this issue states that participants use a variety of criteria in selecting top vendors such as prior business experience as well as their knowledge and familiarity with the products. Readers also assess the cost versus the benefit of the solutions, ease of use, performance, reliability and service life.
