Triconex Business Unit Releases New Tristation Developer's Workbench
Triconex, an operating unit of Invensys plc, today announced the release of a new version of the Tristation™ 1131 Developer’s Workbench.
Tristation 1131 enables engineers to efficiently create and edit programs and control function blocks for Tricon™ and Trident™ Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) controllers. Triconex® TMR controllers are the benchmark for safety and critical control applications in the process industries.
Version 4 offers a significantly improved graphical user interface, organized with familiar Windows® folder tabs such as applications, configurations and projects. Users will find the new project navigation tree feature to be especially helpful for moving quickly within a project.
Version 4 also enables direct access to tag names by a control program and includes an efficient "find" function to quickly locate any element and its dependencies within a project. An optional Cause and Effect Matrix Programming Language (CEMPLE) editor is available. Version 4 also includes an automatic upgrade feature for projects configured with any earlier version of Tristation 1131.
"Over the years, our customers have created many thousands of control applications using Tristation software," said Tracey Sledge, Triconex vice president and general manager. "The need to create and validate complex control applications quickly has never been greater. Version 4 is our response to that need, and it is by far the most significant upgrade ever to the Tristation toolset."
A free demonstration version is available for evaluation purposes. Visit http://www.triconex.com/v4 for more information.
