RTP Corporation requalifies as nuclear vendor

RTP Corporation announced that NUPIC (Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee) has completed its audit of RTP’s quality assurance program for compliancy with the requirements of the NRC (10 CFR 50, Appendix B). NUPIC membership represents all of the operating nuclear power plants in the United States and several non-U.S. nuclear facilities.

RTP Corporation’s series of 2000 and 2200 Hybrid Control Systems are used in a variety of nuclear applications, such as SPDS, CPC, COLLS, ERIS (ERFDAS), core power distribution, feedwater control, flux monitoring, plant monitoring, and others for both pressurized and boiling water reactors.

RTP Corporation’s ability to provide equipment and services to the nuclear industry is contingent on its level 1E qualification rating. According to Don Chase, RTP regional sales manager, “The NUPIC summary was that RTP continues to be a nuclear-qualified vendor, and, in the opinion of the committee, the completed audit was one of our most successful.”
