Asset Manager PKS is embedded within Experion PKS™, Honeywell’s next-generation Process Knowledge System™ that is used in industrial plants and mills to control, monitor and integrate complex processes. Experion PKS Process Knowledge Solutions enable employees with knowledge-driven applications and technologies to capture and manage information optimizing production and improving profitability throughout the organization.

“Asset Manager PKS allows organizations to control and manage all asset-related aspects of processes from the smallest field-connected device to some of the most complicated processes,” said Greg Irving, VP of Technology for Honeywell Industry Solutions. “Using Asset Manager PKS, time spent managing and configuring asset management activities is reduced by 90 percent,” said Irving.

Asset Manager PKS continuously monitors the status, events and operating conditions of all Experion PKS assets and field-connected devices, resulting in an efficient condition-based maintenance solution. Condition-based maintenance enhances instrument reliability and reduces instrument and control maintenance costs up to 30 percent. As a process-centric solution, Asset Manager PKS contributes toward overall control system effectiveness and incident avoidance by continuously monitoring the condition of the complete process rather than only the status of the system.

Asset Manager PKS pre-populates its database with current configurations in Experion PKS and FOUNDATION* fieldbus devices allowing more time to address problems rather than configure another new system. Setting up hierarchy views, defining fault models, activating diagnostic tests and scheduling notifications allow users to subscribe to areas including asset types, process areas and problem scenarios related to safety, the environment, production and reliability. Elevating maintenance activities to the next level, Asset Manager PKS not only monitors devices, but sends timely notification of current device conditions to employees designated with responsibility for particular devices.

The initial release of Asset Manager PKS integrates with PlantScape® System Release 500 and all future Experion PKS releases to provide the best choice in asset management.
