AFM’s equation-building capabilities increase users’ efficiency in collecting process data that can be shared across the organization in a centrally managed, flexible environment. Even users who don’t have programming experience can easily formulate equations.

Combining Uniformance PHD with the AFM, calculation formulas and data can be accessed by and shared with all authorized users across the organization or distributed to other value-added systems and applications. The AFM Designer interface enables building of complex calculation libraries that can access historical and updated process data and store the calculated results in the historian database.

Custom calculation solutions are typically difficult to maintain. AFM simplifies the formulation and management of many process engineering, production and operational calculation tasks such as performing complex scientific calculation and analysis and developing complex, near real-time decision logic.
