Manage Safeguard from Operate IT: Safeguard Connect 2.1 Released
ABB Brings Safety to Industrial IT
The recently released Safeguard Connect is a software product used to connect ABB’s Safeguard safety controllers to Process Portal A, which is ABB’s new operator interface, and a part of Industrial IT. Safeguard Connect includes object types, aspects and functions specific to the domain of safety applications and Safeguard system supervision.
Safeguard Connect also utilizes an OPC server, included in Process Portal, enabling Safeguard controllers to connect to any OPC-enabled system.
