HIMA on course for expansion

(Brühl, 31/10/2006) HIMA Paul Hildebrandt + Co KG has founded a new joint venture in China. The products and services offered by HIMA (Shanghai) Safety Systems Co. Ltd. include the sales and delivery of complete safety-related automation solutions for the process industry. The provided local services include project management, hardware and software engineering, training as well as setup, testing and acceptance procedures for the automation systems.

HIMA (Shanghai) Safety Systems Co. Ltd. is also responsible for providing the complete technical service, support and maintenance of the installed HIMA systems in China.

Currently, the already successful joint venture employs 60 people in premises measuring 1,800 square meters.

The headquarters and production location of HIMA Paul Hildebrandt + Co KG are situated in Brühl near Mannheim, Germany. With subsidiary and affiliated companies as well as numerous sales offices, HIMA is represented in 40 countries around the world and employs a total of 530 people.

HIMA develops and produces intelligent products and solutions for safety-related automation tasks of the process and factory industry. These solutions are applied within certified applications up to levels SIL 4 (IEC 61508) or Cat. 4 (DIN EN 954). These are primarily on emergency shut down (ESD), fire and gas (F&G), burner management (BMS) and high integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS). In addition, safety-related applications like conveyor systems, presses, paintshops, body shops and assembly systems are addressed. The safety-related networking of HIMA systems takes place via safeethernet.
