7th International Symposium Programmable Electronic Systems in Safety Related Applications

Location: Cologne/Germany
Every two years this successfull event takes place at the headquarters of the TÜV Rheinland Group in Cologne, Germany. The participants and exhibitors come from Germany, Europe, the United States and Asia. In 2005 for the first time a safety Symposium organized by the TÜV Rheinland Group has also taken place in the USA.The target group focusses on interested persons and experts, whose job is concentrated on planning, producing, operating, testing and approving of safety related systems and plants.
Topics of the symposium will be:
- Safety related PLCs and components
- Field instrumentation (e.g. smart sensors, actuators)
- Safety bus systems and networks
- Software tools for configuration, software development and tests
- Practical experience with the application of IEC 61508
- Sector specific standards (e.g. IEC 61511, 62061)
- Examples of applications in process and production industry
- Functional Safety Management..
We plan to have sequential presentations where producers, suppliers, integration companies and end users present their products and/or applications with respect to the topics above mentioned. Additionally we will have invited speakers.
On the second day of the symposium workshops will take place after the lunch-break. Interested persons can discuss special topics in detail with experts in small groups. Should you be interested in performing a workshop, kindly inform us.
Companies also have the possibilty to exhibit their products and services during the symposium. The location at the headquarters of TÜV Rheinland Group offers an ideal ambience for convincing presentations.
