ICS Triplex Introduces Newly Developed Technologies
ICS Triplex Technology is close to introducing two new additions to the Trusted™ range: the Trusted™ Gateway module and the Trusted™ TMR Speed Monitor.
The technologies were demonstrated at the ISA Show in October 2003 and received a very positive response both from existing and potential customers.
The Trusted™ Gateway module has been designed to offer a seamless, integrated OPC server for the Trusted™ 8000 system.
The module supports both Data Access 2.0 and Alarms & Events and requires only minimal setup.
Dual-configurations are supported for redundant OPC networks. Most importantly, the module does not interfere with the safety function or performance of the Trusted™ system.
The Trusted™ TMR Speed Monitor module is designed to provide autonomous over-speed protection for up to 3 rotating machines.
Each over-speed trip has 3 independent, fault-tolerant speed inputs and a fault-tolerant digital output.
Speed inputs have a wide, dynamic range of 0.1 Hz to 30 KHz. Like all other Trusted™ 8000 series I/O, the module provides sequence-of-event reporting with 1 ms resolution.
It is expected that the new module will go to production by the middle of the coming year.
