HIMA opened a new branch office in Dubai, U.A.E.
(Brühl, 16th February 2005)
In December 2004, HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH + Co KG opened a new branch office, HIMA Middle East, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
With the new branch office HIMA is strengthening its local support for the approx. 1,000 systems installed throughout the region.
In addition a wide range of services are being offered with regard to intelligent safety controllers and solutions for safety-related automation processes in the process industry.
This includes, for example, emergency shut down systems (ESD), fire and gas systems (F&G), burner management systems (BMS) as well as telemetry and high integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS).
The new branch office, measuring 512 square meters, replaces the previous representative office Dubai, which was mainly active in a consulting and support capacity.
The new organisation in the Jebel Ali Free Zone allows HIMA Middle East to act independently and coordinate sales and service activities from Dubai whilst also offering training locally.
Immediate plans are to increase the number of employees from nine to twelve engineers.
Further expansion during 2005 is aimed at increasing market support in the Middle East with provision for a new service and support centre in Bandar Iman, Iran plus a representative office in Doha, Qatar.
