Digital output module with shut-down channel-by-channel for F&G applications

HIMA presents the new safety-related digital output module
"F 3349" with eight channels, which is designed for an output voltage from 24 to 48 V DC.
The F 3349 is certified to SIL 3/IEC 61508 or cat. 4/ EN 954
and completes the H41q/H51q system family of HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH + Co KG, Brühl.
The new module supports a shut-down channel-by-channel. If one channel fails, then only this channel is shut down.
The error-free function of the remaining channels is not affected.
The shut-down channel-by-channel increases process avail-ability because if an error occurs there is no time limit to con-tinue operation.
The integrated open circuit monitoring includes short circuit
monitoring in an activated and deactivated condition.
This makes
the use in F&G applications possible.
