SIMATIC S7-400 - new features, new failsafe controllers

The operating system for SIMATIC S7-400, the high-performance modular controller series, was upgraded to include new functions. The new version offers isochrone mode for high-speed machine applications with distributed sensors and actuators, and changes to the hardware configuration can now be made in "non-stop" applications for plants that must not be shut down under any circumstances.

The Safety Integrated range has been expanded to include a series of new failsafe CPUs for SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-400. A failsafe "master" controller for the ET 200S distributed I/O station enables reliable automation of small-scale applications. A wide variety of finely scalable failsafe products is now available on a single integrated platform for everything from small-scale to highly sophisticated safety tasks.
